Dispatch Band Member, Brad Corrigan, and Middlebury College Athletic Director, Erin Quinn, are talking about their long-standing friendship. Brad is a musician with the internationally renowned band, Dispatch, and Co-founded Lacrosse the Nations. On the podcast we are talking about his non-profit organization Love, Light + Melody, and about how he is making a difference in the world—all through the lens of a long-standing friendship with Middlebury College Athletic Director, Erin Quinn.
Brad raises funds and awareness for a community of children living and working in the La Chureca trash dump community in Managua, Nicaragua. He supports these vulnerable children by amplifying their stories, inspiring hope for them through music, art and sports, and transforming their lives through education.
“Giving your Gift”, how they both figured out over time how to serve and uplift people with the “gifts” we carry in our own lives.
As a friend told Brad, “in order to truly give you first have to figure out what God put in your hands.”
ABOUT ERIN QUINN:
Erin Quinn has been the director of athletics at Middlebury College since 2006. As director, he has overseen significant facilities projects, including field renovations and the building of the squash center and field house. Under his tutelage, the College recorded nine straight top-five finishes in the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings. During the 2011-2012 academic year, Middlebury captured its first Directors’ Cup title.
Before becoming the director of athletics, Quinn was head coach of the men’s lacrosse team and assistant coach of football. Under his direction, the men’s lacrosse program amassed an amazing 202-38 career record. Quinn’s .842 winning percentage is second among his peers in the history of Division III lacrosse. He led the team to 10 NCAA tournament appearances in 11 years, while capturing all six NESCAC championships. His teams won three straight NCAA championships in 2000, 2001, and 2002, while setting a school record with 18 wins in 2002. He also led the team to ECAC championships in 1992, 1995, and 1997.
He is a five-time winner of the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division III Coach of the Year award. He also earned NESCAC coach of the year honors in 2004. He was elected to the New England Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2003.
Quinn is a 1986 graduate of Middlebury College, where he was a member of the football team, captaining the squad his senior year. He earned his Master of Arts in Teaching at Tufts University. Erin Quinn in the news: USA Today - Middlebury Wins Directors' Cup

Brad Corrigan is a member of the indie band, Dispatch, he has played and sold out some of the most storied venues across the United States including Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks, Red Bull Arena, the Boston Garden, and Radio City. A dynamic solo artist and communicator, through film, photography, and music, Brad’s innate kindness touches those around him and inspires hope.

ILEANA’S STORY
Ileana, a little girl with a big heart and lightning smile, grew up in a trash dump community in Managua, Nicaragua. Tragically, she contracted HIV and passed away in 2011. Inspired by Ileana’s courage and smile, Love Light + Melody and Founder/Musician, Brad Corrigan, are producing a documentary film and soundtrack in honor of Ileana’s short, beautiful and bold life to raise funding and awareness for a school in her honor in Nicaragua.
